Naya Brown Bronx Shooting Update: Naya Brown and Pernell Warren Arrested in Connection with Keon Gill Murder

Police in Bronx have arrested Naya Brown, 26, a New York City Department of Education (DOE) employee, and Pernell Warren, 27, in connection with the fatal shooting of 44-year-old Keon Gill on January 25 near West 242nd Street and Broadway in the Kingsbridge section of the Bronx.

According to law enforcement, Gill was shot in the chest just before 3 a.m. after leaving a birthday celebration. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died. Gill’s 35-year-old brother was also shot in the incident but is expected to survive.

Police say both Brown and Warren have been charged with murder in connection with the case. Warren also faces additional charges including manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon. Brown was arrested by the Regional Fugitive Task Force at her Bronx home on March 3, according to authorities.

Family members remember Gill as a devoted father whose world revolved around his children and loved ones. The investigation into the deadly shooting remains active as police continue to gather evidence and pursue justice.

Local officials have emphasized the seriousness of gun violence and are urging community members with information to come forward to assist the ongoing investigation.
